Five Reasons to Visit The Lifebridge Thrift ShopOctober 26, 2019
Where is your go-to place to find deals on clothes and furniture? Did a thrift store enter your mind? If not, perhaps we can change your mind!
We could spend all day telling you why you should make a trip to our Lifebridge Thrift Store but, instead, we’re going to share our five favorite reasons.
We have a variety of clothes to take you from season to season without having to break the bank. Shopping in department stores can be expensive, especially when you’re looking to stock up your winter wardrobe, but Lifebridge can offer bargains that you won’t find anywhere else.
Whether you’re looking for a high-end or a classic vintage piece, we have something to suit every taste.
You’ll be amazed by the furniture items that we have donated to us, from stunning armchairs to dinner tables, lamps, and more. The thrift store is perfect for picking up decorative pieces to turn your house into a home – ideal for first-time buyers and long-term homeowners who are looking to change things up!
Don’t forget you can also donate your old pieces of furniture and home decor when you’re picking up your new ones.
Help the Environment
So much waste is created from fast fashion, both from clothes and homeware. People try to keep up with the latest trends, but doing so has a detrimental effect on the environment.
Often, people will throw clothes away that don’t have a single thing wrong with them, and they just end up in landfills. Instead, why not donate your clothes and furniture to a store like ours for others to enjoy? You could also pick something up for yourself while you’re there.
You will be surprised at what you can pick up at such a small cost. For the price of one sweater at a department store, you could walk away with five from the Lifebridge Thrift Store.
If you turn to our home section, you’ll be even more pleasantly surprised by the bargains that can be found.
Support a Great Cause
Finally, by shopping at Lifebridge, you are helping to raise funds for the amazing programs held by our homeless shelters and transitional houses across Salem, Beverly, and Gloucester.
As it gets so cold in this area of the northeast, this time of year is particularly tough on people experiencing homelessness and living on the streets. Funding for emergency shelters is critical so that homeless individuals are left to face the elements.
Did you know, not only does Lifebridge provide shelter for its residents, but also a range of programs? We offer intensive case management, supportive programs and training, and also community meals.
Our goal is to help end the homeless crisis – can you help us?
We hope to see you soon!
